Program Requirements

To earn the non-credit UT Wedding Coordinator Certificate, you must complete two required courses: Wedding Coordinating and How to Direct a Wedding. You will be required to plan a hypothetical wedding during the 10-week course and complete assignments each week. In addition, you must obtain 6 hours of hands-on experience.

Wedding Coordinating (10-week course) Learn how to build a successful wedding coordinating/ consulting business. This course is designed for those persons looking for full or part-time business opportunities. This exciting field will add interest to your life and is a great way to earn added income. How to Direct a Wedding (3-week course) Wedding directing is a needed service for people wanting to start their own business, as well as for church, hospitality, and catering staffs. Even the smallest wedding needs a wedding director. This course will teach you how to direct the rehearsal, wedding, and reception. You will receive detailed handouts on etiquette, traditions, customs, and new directing techniques.
